Club Information

The Prince Edward Radio Club in Prince Edward County, Ontario, was started in the 1980's to promote amateur radio activities, expand technical knowledge, and provide emergency radio communications as a public service. The club is affiliated with The Radio Amateurs of Canada.
 
Club meetings are held at 7:30PM on the third Thursday of every month at the Wellington Public Libary, 261 Main Street, Wellington, Ontario.  Visitors are always welcome and you can get directions on VE3TJU from 7pm on meeting nights. See the calendar for this and other events.

When you are ready to write the exam, contact one of the club's volunteer examiners, Doug Monk (dmonk@kos.net) or Eric Pierce (va3ep@rac.ca). PERC, jointly with The Quinte Amateur Radio Club, runs classes leading to an Industry Canada Amateur Radio Certificate, contact one of the executive (below) for more information.
 
PERC maintains a 2 metre repeater VE3TJU and is a participant in the Canwarn Eastern Severe Weather Watch.
 
There is an open chat net, called the Bay Bridge Net, every Tuesday at 7:30 pm on the club repeater, VE3TJU. The net is named for the bridge that connects Prince Edward County to Belleville and is a joint operation of QARC and PERC. Everyone is invited to check in.
