Miss Supertest Special Event

The call sign CG3TEST has been issued to Art Sinclair for period August 6-8 2011

Not VE3TEST as previously reported. The station set up at Loch Sloy will require long extension cord to provide electricity to the station as one side of the building has no outlets. The details of the Special Event operation have been provided to TCA, QRZ.COM and LOTW. Volunteers will be needed for setup of the station, and for two hour shifts during the operating times. Please contact Ian VE3EP (Details attached)

Field Day

Matt VE3OCC noted that 6m was good but 2m was dead. It was suggested that

A 6m cubical quad or beam be used next year.

N1MM will be used again next year but a testing should be done in advance to confirm it is a stable version. A naming convention should also be developed for the network.

Dave VE3UGT noted that there is a need to coordinate towing of the various trailers to the site, to eliminate unnecessary repeat trips.
