Minutes of the Meeting of The Prince Edward Radio Club June 3rd   2010 
19:30 hrs Bloomfield Town Hall

Meeting called to order 7:30pm by President Art VE3SQG

Al VE3FZ showed the group his WAS Triple Play Award, and spoke about the QSL card offered by globalqsl.com.
Joe VA3JLF spoke about Bert Amero who became a silent key in May. Bert started Network 105 For packet users many years ago.
Treasurer Al VE3FZ reported that the Club Incorporation fee had been paid.
The hijacking of the club url has still not be corrected. Views of the web page arebeing directed to the sit of a company in Frankford. KOS is trying to correct this.
It was moved by Kevin VA3THB that the minutes of May 6 2010 be approved. Seconded by Peter VE3UR CARRIED

ARES

Bill VA3WOW spoke about the club members who attended a CANWARN training session in Napanee.
The session was well attended by both Radio Amateurs and other interested citizens.
 
NEW BUSINESS
The club picnic this year will be in a new location the home of Art VE3SQG &Betsy
At 74 Consecon Street Wellington K0K 3L0 on August 21st 2010
Art asked the membership if there was any interest in a club auction this year.
A time in the fall was suggested but no decision was made.

FIELD DAY PLANNING

Dave VE3UGT will supply a Bush Hog but needs a tractor to pull it.
Eric VA3EP will borrow one from his sister.
Art VE3SQG suggested that a site visit should be arranged prior to the event.
The operation will be 2A using the QARC Icom 735 and Ten Tec.
Members can use their own equipment if they wish.
Logging will be done with N1MM Logger.
Bob VE3QWB will do a press release prior to the event.
Frontenac ARES is interested in doing some NVIS testing during field day from their two locations,
 more information will be provided prior to the event.
 
PLEASE NOTE THE JULY MEETING DATE FALLS ON CANADA DAY.
THERE WILL BE NO JULY MEETING .
