To become a ham, you need to study for, write and pass one or more examinations, starting with the Basic. There is no longer a need to learn the Morse Code (although you certainly can if you want).
When you are ready to write the exam, contact one of the club's volunteer examiners Doug Monk - dmonk@kos.net PERC, jointly with The Quinte Amateur Radio Club when there is sufficient demand, runs classes leading to an Industry Canada Amateur Radio Certificate, contact one of the executive for more information. |
